So I am sure from the "snow day" post below you can tell that Cooper is behind the fence and not out with Gabby playing. This is because Cooper is very possessive of, what he considers, HIS backyard and tackles Gabby every time I try to get the two of them together. It is all our fault for not introducing them to each other from Day 1. Also partly because I freaked out anytime Cooper would come near her when she was a baby. He is just so much darn bigger than she is!
Well...we have been trying more and more to get them to be pals. Cooper has been coming inside in the evenings and hanging out with us. It has been going very well. So well that I thought allowing Gabby into the backyard to play with Cooper for a while today would be a good thing. Oh gosh...disaster! He immediately tackled her again and was back to his old behavior. I happened to catch it on video and think it is kind of funny! I know that sounds terrible, but I did protect her and we came back inside right away. It started off great, then it took a turn for the worst in no time! Check it out...
