I proceeded to ask Gabby what these were and where had they come from when she said, "the backyard mom...we're havin' those for dinner".
I stopped and thought for a minute. How in the world had she managed to sneak away into the backyard, find these pine cones without a peep out of Cooper(which would never happen by the way)and then come back without me noticing? After thinking, I realized that a couple of weeks ago when we hosted a play date at our house the kids were filling the grocery cart with pine cones. Ah ha...she remembered and must have ventured out into the screened in porch to find them. Creative I must say!
I know that the year of a two year old has it's ups and it's downs. One day can be completely crazy, full of tears and tantrums followed by a day that is incredible, positive, happy and so fun. But, when Gabby does things like this it just makes me laugh so hard.
And then... I proceed to think about how lucky I am to be this little girls momma!

That's one way to get your fiber!!! I think it's so sweet that she wanted to make y'all dinner!
You're right - you're very lucky to be Gabby's Mama and she is truly lucky that that you are her Mama! It's a perfect match.
