St. Patty's Day 2010

We had a blast on St. Patrick's Day this year! Jeff, Gabby and I headed downtown to watch the parade in the morning. Our city also has a 5K walk/run and we dye the canal green which is really cool too!

The best part of the parade for Gabby was the candy! She kept saying, "more candy, more candy" to all of the people that graciously gave candy out at the parade among other things. Shamrock plants made the cut which I thought was a really cool idea! I believe that this might have been a first! After the parade we finished with a nice lunch at my favorite, Creation Cafe, on the canal. Can never get enough of that place!

After naps in the afternoon, Aunt Jeanine picked Mommy up to spend some quality time with friends and family. We went to a bar that my parents and family hung out(and I believe some of them continue to hang out)at "BACK IN THE DAY"! Ha Ha...I am sure my family is really going to appreciate reading that one! It really was fun!! Uncle John met us and my mom was there with friends too! We ended the night at the Rathskeller with Polka Boy! Love that band!

P.S Uncle John in the background of that last picture was really having a good time! :) He just looked miserable for a minute because of all the "cackling" and "girly things" that women do that drive men crazy when drinking and listening to an Irish band! He found his friends shortly after this picture and all was good again! Love you Uncle John...Muah!
