The Saturday after Thanksgiving Gabby and I decorated the Christmas tree. For those of you that are not aware...Jeff is "MIA" during the Thanksgiving holiday! He hunts for precious deer. In my mind, "deer ruin everything"(e.g., your car, your marriage, your bank account). Haaah...I am joking, but seriously Gabby and I really do spend way to much money when Jeff is hunting. We go on some great shopping sprees and totally get away with it!
My only rule for Jeff before he can leave to hunt is that he has to make sure the tree is up! When we first got married, Jeff would decorate the tree with me and we would enjoy it for a couple of days together before he went on his hiatus. Now, I am lucky if I get a picture of him putting one ornament on it. Oh I take that back, he does do a good job at picking up the ones that Little Miss takes off and puts them back on for her! Anyhoo, Uncle Nick came over along with my Dad and we enjoyed watching Gabby decorate the Christmas tree. It is times like these that I will cherish forever. Watching Gabby get so excited and take each ornament out of the shoebox and gently hook it on the tree is something I will envision for a lifetime. Some of the best memories don't cost a dime do they!
