Water...
Water...
and more...Water!
Now that summer is almost over, I can officially say that Gabby "L"oves the water! Any type of water for the most part, however, primarily swimming in pools. She mastered going down the water slide, much to mommy's surprise, in June. Scared me to death, but, I truly feel that a child reacts the way the parent responds to any situation. So what I wanted to do was scream, "Oh My Gosh...Aaaahhh", when she went down the slide and under the water BIG TIME, however, instead I pulled her up, bounced her on my knee and acted really silly, excited and praised her! Well, I actually bounced her like crazy because of all the water she swallowed, but that is besides the point right now. We also have enjoyed many play dates in little swimming pools as well. This is where Gabby tends to get herself into some trouble though...the second picture is worth a thousand words...enough said. :) Swimming lessons are going great right now! We finish up on Friday and last week we stayed at the pool after lessons and swam for a little bit. Gabby had a fantastic time! I also enjoyed catching some rays I must say! So, all in all, summer has been great! I am sort of sad to have watched it go by so fast as school is getting ready to start for all of my friends again that are teachers. We have enjoyed the time with them and their children. We still have a lot of things planned the next couple of weeks to soak up as much time as we can with them all!
Gabby starts school in the Fall too! Preschool that is! Just two days per week for 2 1/2 hours each day, but it is SCHOOL and Gabby is SO excited!
Thanks for checking in on us...

Cute swimming suits!!!! I love that she loves the water - good for you for encouraging her to get wet and go underwater...that can be very scary for Mommy.
How did you pick her pre-school? I've been contemplating whether or not to let Gracie go to school. I definitely want her around other kids and to learn things from other teachers....but I don't want the negative stuff...hitting, biting, colds, etc.
