July 4th...On The Boat!

We hope that everyone had a fabulous *4th of July *We kind of made a last minute decision to hit the lake with the boat.  This would be Gabby's first time on the boat and the three of us were pretty excited!

Jeff and I never thought to take into consideration that everyone else in Indiana with a boat probably had the same idea that we did on that day.  When we pulled into Raccoon Lake around noon and noticed that we were about the 11th boat in line at the ramp the light bulb went off in our heads!  I promise we both have brains we just don't like to use them on holidays...hee hee!
So off we went to Lake Waveland.  Definitely a smaller lake but less crowded for sure!  Smart move on our part.  Anyways, with regards to Gabby, she had a blast!  She is pretty rough and tough.  So after we got going full speed on the lake, her brave sense of self appeared and she began to jump up and down in her seat, stand up, attempted to jump in...ya know Gabby!  I quickly realized that it did not matter which lake we landed at on that day because we could have told her we were in the ocean and she would have believed us!  :)
Due to Gabby's bravery...we made the decision to leave an eansy weensy bit earlier than planned because little miss was scaring the holy crap out of us as you can see here

All in all...it was a great day! Plenty of sunbathing for all three of us that's for sure!

Later on that evening we enjoyed fireworks with great friends at the park!

Gabby was pretty mellow for this part.

She wasn't sure what to think of them last year.  This year she sort of kicked back and relaxed.

Didn't say much and people watched.  We shad a great time!  So thankful for great friends and family!  What a *Happy 4th*.

Last, but not least, I have to thank our soldiers!  Active or retired, deployed or on base and those that are no longer with us or lost their lives at war...THANK YOU!  Your hard work and dedication to our country is the reason we have our freedom!  Thank you for your sacrifices.  May God Bless You on this special day as well as every day!
