A picture of Gabby's first "ouchie". She skinned her leg, outdoors of course, at my sister in law's wedding reception over the weekend. I think Gabby thought she had mastered the stairs at the entrance of the facility. Needless to say, that was some tough concrete!
It was one of those moments where you are so close to your child but cannot move fast enough to catch them when you see disaster approaching quickly. Poor baby girl cried for almost 45 minutes. I think it was a combination of the leg hurting and the fact that she had not had a nap yet. She fell asleep on me afterwards and this is something that she only does once in a blue moon.
After some neosporin(NO BAND AID...she is petrified of them for some reason), Gabby was back to her usual self. She has not complained about her "ouchie" much today...only when we take off and put on her pants.

That is an ouchie!!! Sorry she had her 1st real boo-boo. Hurts you almost as much as it hurts them.
Isn't that one of the worst feelings...not being able to stop something bad when you know it's about to happen. Poor girl...glad you were able to make it all better.
I think it might be a good thing that Gabby isn't in to Band Aids...think about it, she could be accessorizing with them.
