Finally pictures from our American Girl trip! It was a blast! Gabby was a real trooper given the "Chicago" hustle and bustle. Jeff would of killed me! At one point I had the shopping bags and both bitty twins strapped onto the fold-up stroller(which was tiny)running through American Girl chasing Gabby! She was so excited to see all the dolls(or Barbies as she called them)for the longest time after we got there. My cousin, Molly(and true American girl collector when she was younger) came along. I must say that she is going to be a great mother. She pulled "mom mode" a couple of times and handled Gabby when shopping bags were hitting others and I was apologizing or when I had to take the elevator(stroller rule on Chicago escalator's...weird)and Gabby HAD to ride the escalator. Molly was a lifesaver and Gabby and I enjoyed every minute with her. The tea was good, a little too grown up for Gabby, but good! Super cute set up. We walked into the tea with two bitty twins and ended up with an extra doll at our tea. Why?...b/c Gabby wanted to keep adding dolls from the shelf to our table! Party of three turned into party of 6 by the end of the tea...LOL! All in all,it was a great time! We were once again very tired by the end of the day. I think Chicago in general would make any person tired even if you just sat and people watched! I definitely do not know how Molly and Brandon live there everyday. Jeff was a Saint and played chauffeur all day to Gabby and I. When we were walking away from the car into the American Girl store when we got there, I looked back to notice that Jeff had parked in the city bus lane(aaahhh...a big no no in Chicago)and the driver was flipping him off...YIKES!
In the end(and over 200.00 later)...we have two bitty babies that still go un-named. I asked Gabby just today what her babies names were and she said, "baby and baby Chamness". We have a bitty high chair that I finally broke down and bought after I heard, "high chair mom...high chair mom" over and over again so I just bought it to solve the headache :). I loved the mother-daughter time and time with Molly though. This is a memory that will stay with me forever! And as far as Gabby goes, I am not so sure she will remember this, but at least she will have two bitty twins to take with her when we go back in a couple of years when she will remember! Finally...pictures!
