2009 RMH Tree Lighting

We had so much fun at this years Ronald McDonald House tree lighting! Grampy and Aunt Jeanine joined us this year and I think they had just as much fun as we did! We all ate way to many goodies in the "Cookie House", but ah well...these moments are just a part of the holiday season right! Aunt Jeanine brought over 165,000 pop tabs from her school with her and I am happy to report...that they are almost to the 1 MILLION MARK! WAHOO! I am so proud of her school...St. Pius ROCKS! They will soon be getting a visit from Ronald himself once they hit the million mark which should be in early Spring! We will sure be there with them to share in the excitement and cheer for them when that day comes! AND...I am also so excited for Jeff! He has been nominated to be on the 2010-2011 Ronald McDonald House board! Voting is going to take place in the next couple of weeks and he should find out soon if he will take a seat for the next calendar year! I think about Ellie all the time, but mostly in times like these! Her spirit continues to shine everyday! With all the wonderful things that have happened in 2009 and the endless opportunities and experiences we have had with sharing Ellie's story publicly to help others, I know she and God are working together in heaven and are in control. I can't wait to see what unfolds in 2010! Here are pictures from last week's event! P.S Gabby was TERRIFIED of Ronald and Santa Claus might I add! She screamed anytime they both got near us and said, "Ronald...walk away...Ronald...walk away". She totally has Aunt Amy in her when it comes to people in costume's. Not a fan at all!
