Daddy/Daughter Day!
Yesterday, Jeff and Gabby spent the day together. Daycare is closed for the rest of the week due to an H1N1 outbreak. Yikes! So that means Gabby is going to be found no where near that place until next Monday. :) Jeff took off Tuesday and Wednesday and I am going to be off Thursday and Friday to get through this week.
Gabby has been obsessed with trains lately. Anything that is mechanical and moves she is pretty much obsessed about but, for the past couple of weeks it has been trains. So Jeff decided to take Gabby to French Lick, In for a train ride. He called me at work and told me about his plans. I was super excited that they were going and told him to be sure to take the camera and get pictures. I guess he got down to French Lick and could not find the camera in his car so he took pics on his cell instead. They turned out very cute. According to Jeff, Gabby enjoyed the hour and a half train ride. When I heard how long the train ride was, I thought for sure a story of a meltdown would follow. Nope...Jeff said that Gabby was great until the very end, but this sounds great for a 2 year old right! So no big problems except for the fact that she wet through her diaper and all over Jeff's pants half way through the train ride. He changed her at the stop when they got ready to turn around to come back. Afterwards, the two of them ate lunch at Wendy's and then headed back.
Next Up...the Pumpkin Patch on Friday as long as weather permits. We are trying to do a lot of things outside with Gabby this week just to be sure that we are not "cooped up" indoors in public places where she is more susceptible to getting the virus. However, according to the nurse at the pedi's office I am overreacting and, "she is going to get it Katie...it is just a matter of time". Ha...I'll show you nice nurse/receptionist woman!

What a wonderful surprise stay-cation! Sorry to hear about the H1N1 outbreak...but fun that y'all get some one-on-one time with Gabby!
I think it's adorable that Jeff took her on a train ride and documented it along the way!
Can't wait to see pics from the pumpkin patch and I love your banner pic!
And definitely prove the nurse/receptionist wrong - no virus for Gabby this season!!!
