Funny "Gabbers" Story!
Gabby is getting to be quite the character lately. She is talking so much more these days. She can put words into sentences and repeats just about anything that Mommy, Daddy, friends and family say. I just heard her say, "Oh God" a few minutes ago when she dropped her toy. I keep telling myself...Oh gosh, oh gosh, oh gosh, but something else slips out sometimes! We kind of have to watch ourselves all the time to be sure that we think before we talk :)
With that being said, tonight, we decided to go out to dinner and take Jeff's new company car for a "spin". This car is significantly smaller than the last one, but who is complaining in these economic times where companies are pulling cars from their workers rather than giving them new ones. Soooo...I am not complaining one bit and am honestly thankful! Anyways, so we were driving. This new car just so happens to have the voice activated commands called Sync that allow the driver to tell the car what to do. Jeff was trying to figure it out by going through the program buttons. Each time he would push a button, the "lady" would come over the speaker and give him, no joke, 5-7different options of what to pick. You had to respond by saying a number. While Jeff was in the middle of saying numbers, Gabby thought it would be ~SO FUNNY~ to start rambling off her own numbers. It was really funny to hear Jeff saying, "1...4...play Katy Perry" while in the background you hear Gabby saying, "1...4...8...8...8 Daddy...8! I was rolling! Jeff ended up just manually playing the music until we got home and then tried to figure it out in the driveway while Gabby and I played in the yard. This example and many more make me think that if this is what life with Gabby is going to be like for many years to come, then I feel like the most blessed mom in the world! She makes me laugh everyday with her words and actions. Thank you Lord for blessing me beyond belief with one more beautiful daughter!
Ok...so I have to share this last tidbit! THIS JUST IN-from the car that is! I seriously thought my husband was in the living room in his recliner this second watching the premiere of "dating in the dark" on TV while I am blogging. Naaah, Jeff called me just now from the car. Yeah...the car! He wanted to tell me that his phone speaker works and asked me a ton of questions like, "can you hear me?,how does it sound?, does it sound like a speaker phone?, like how does it sound?...I DON'T KNOW, YOU SOUND GOOD, SERIOUSLY JEFF...COME HOME! So much for thinking that I know where my husband is at all times! Geez!

Oh Gabby! She's too much! I love hearing the funny stories and can't wait to hear what else comes out of her cute little mouth...and those sunglasses - she is Hollywood!!! Hope y'all are having a great summer!
Hehe...I can't believe you admitted once again that Jeff listens to Katy Perry. :-P Love that story though :-P It's going to be fun when Gabby memorizes the voice cues to be able to hear her favorite songs :-P.
As a side note...I love the show "Dating in the Dark"...I've watched all 3 episodes of it so far & crack up everytime.
