The City That Never Sleeps...Literally

We rolled into bed this morning around 2:30am Indiana time. I think the first day in Vegas, according to my mother in law, is the worst when it comes to time changes. We wanted to watch the Water Shows and the Pirate Ship display, but were just too tired to stay up for it...and it was only 10:30pm here. Day 2 brings a ton of sunshine and temperatures in the mid 90's in Las Vegas. I(Jeff slept late of course)woke up at 6:30am Las Vegas time which would be 9:30am Indiana time...weird. I could not go back to sleep. Jeff and I ended up going to the pool around 10am here. We left promptly and decided to shop when we were the first and only ones down there. The Cabana boy said that the sun usually breaks the hotel around 1pm. Later we spent a few hours at the pool and had plenty of drinks(with umbrellas)in them. I know what you are thinking back home...seriously Katie, we having nothing but rain and cold weather here and you are in hot Vegas with sunshine and sipping drinks with umbrellas in them. Hey...you all have had plenty of times in the sun while I have been back home and working so there!! Just kidding!

Tonight we are going to dinner at Wolf Gang Puck's restaurant "Cut" with the Dr Pepper/McDonalds team. I have been craving a great steak! Here are some pictures of some things on the strip during the daytime.

Most of these signs/displays have lights covering them entirely. At night, the entire strip light's up. No wonder we have electronic shades and dark drapes in our room...to keep the bright lights out!

The pool(s) and a shot of the golf course. Jeff was really pumped to show his Dad and my Dad this picture. He tells me to note the golf hole near the waterfall! He thinks it is "cool and picturesque(who knows). I think it looks pretty!

Gabby, Mommy and Daddy hope that you had a great time at your play date with your friend, Molly, today. To my understanding, the menu consisted of grilled cheese squares, juice, chips and cookies :-) Grandma said you even let her fix your hair for the occasion...SHOCKING! We miss you...but are so happy you are having such a good time while we are away! Thanks again to wonderful Grandma and Grandad! We love you!

P.S. Let's not forget my dad, who is feeding Cooper this week! Thanks Dad for your help! We love you!
