I contemplated even sharing this post with everyone. At this point, I feel that everyone is tired of hearing about our family flu bug! But for kicks, I'll share anyways and give you all a brief update! Well, it seems that Jeff and I ended up with this illness as well. Monday evening I began praying to the porcelin goddess and saw daylight about 6pm Tuesday. My aunt ended up coming over to stay with Gabby while Jeff and the family went to RMH for Ellie's birthday. Jeff got sick on Tuesday evening and he stayed in bed until Wednesday night. Geez! To be honest, I have not gotten an in-depth update(and we all know that I like IN DEPTH explanations) about Ellie's breakfast event just small tid bits here and there because of all that has been going on. I know in my heart that it was fabulous though! My blogger friend, Kelly, brought up that I could volunteer some other time of the year to have my special time at RMH. What a great idea! I am surely going to do this! Thanks to my wonderful family for helping out! I do not know where we would be or how we would survive sometimes without all of you!
Gabby's appetite has not been the greatest this week. Thanks to Jay and Angela for saving me on Wednesday evening with 2 bottles of Gatorade. I thought we had Gatorade in the fridge and it ended up that Jeff took it with him on his trip to rehydrate. Praise Jesus for friends that live SUPER close and have the greatest hearts in the world! Even though I apparantly now owe Jason his next season's baseball bat for helping me out :-) I think I have fixed about every type of food for Gabby to get her to eat! All of her favorites end up in rubbermaid containers in the fridge or down the drain! Oh well...who wants to eat when they are recovering from the flu right! We have graduated from Pedialyte and Gatorade to juice and milk now. Last night when Gabby was drinking the milk REALLY FAST, all I could think was, "get the waste basket ready" in case she got sick again! It stayed down...woop woop! We are making progress people! About time! I am not going to say that we are completely over this because we are not, but I am optimistic! Jeff would be so proud to hear me say this! He is away on business right now and comes back this evening. Last night we were talking on the phone about how great it will be to spend QUALITY time together(not barfing) as a family this weekend(hopefully)! We feel like we have not seen each other in a week...well since last Saturday for that matter!
