I'm sad that I have not had a chance to update the blog lately! Jeff even commented last night by saying, "you haven't updated that thing in a while". We have been SUPER busy and it seems like so much has been going on lately! So, I decided the best way to do this would be to just "recap" the last couple of weeks.
We had a chance to go to the zoo again!

Gabby loved it and enjoyed calling every animal a "dog"!! Everything is a dog lately!
Gabby is learning how to say ball, that, tree and uh oh! She still is not saying mama...boo! Gabby has also gotten a bunch of new toys...yay! Grandma Doris has a really good friend that had a ton of toys that her grandchildren played with when they were younger. Now that they are older, she decided to let us have some of them. Gabby enjoyed all of these toys. I swear when you introduce new toys to kids they can play for hours and hours! She especially loves her new "fun seat" that talks to her! The chair really does not have a name and I do not know how to describe it..so we just call it a fun seat! It says things like, "the red light is on/off" and "you are off the chair", etc. Cute as can be!

Although, Jeff reminded me that we need to remember to turn this toy off at night. He said he was scared "to death" when the toy started talking to him the other night. It was so funny to hear him describe the whole thing! I guess it said something to the effect of "are you still there" and "see ya later..he he"!! Nonetheless, it freaked him out! We definitely remember to turn off the toy now!

We went to a wedding at the end of June! My brother's best friend, Adam, got married! It is so hard to think about my brother's friends getting married. I guess they are 26ish, but I still think that they are too young or something! Nick will probably be the last one to get married out of all of them. Still no girlfriend so I have decided that I am on a mission to find one for him! How cool would that be..his sister picking her future sister-in-law. Nonetheless, I am so happy for Adam and Amy! The wedding was just beautiful!

The 4th of July was such a jam packed weekend. We had four cookouts in four days, two sets of firework displays and lots of family time together! Gabby loved the fireworks! We watched them over the lake in my parents neighborhood! Gabby's eyes were twinkling as she was so mesmerized by the bright lights and loud booms! My brother, Jeff and my parents all took turns coming into the screened in porch to look at her facial expressions...priceless!
Lastly, I took pictures of Ellie's garden now that the plants are in full bloom! It looks really pretty! We have enjoyed spending time sitting on the bench at night and watering the flowers.

Now that things have settled down this week, we are looking ahead to the coming weekend! We have no plans and I am finding myself trying to make plans! I love being on the go! We have thought about going to Louisville, KY or someplace fun with fun things to do! However, as I am trying to figure out what to do, I keep thinking that maybe we should just decide to take the weekend easy and get some R & R! Who knows...we'll figure it out! Have A Great Week Everybody!
