Gabby and I escaped the flooding in our area last weekend and headed to Nashville, TN to visit Daddy! We could barely get out of the state due to I-65, I-70 and later I-74 being closed. However, after 7 hours in the car and at least 7 phone calls to Grandma Doris who had her road maps standing by to help, we made it to Tenesssee! Jeff had been there since Thursday for the CMA fest! Dr. Pepper/McDonalds were a sponsor of the event and we had great seats in the Tenessee Titans(LP field)suite at night to watch the singers perform!
We got to see Sara Evans, Randy Travis, Dwight Yokum?, Billy Ray Cyrus, Bucky Covington from American Idol and much more! Gabby entertained Jeff's boss and his wife and showed them how she could "boogie down"! She had so much energy!
We Love Country Music! During the day on Sunday, we went to the family fun zone! It was at least 100 degrees and we all were so hot! Gabby was a real trooper though and enjoyed Ronald McDonald and Strawberry Shortcake!
We took Gabby to the pool at the hotel! She enjoyed splashing in the water!
The ride home was great...only 4 hours this time! We sailed right through and the roads were open again...thank goodness! Too bad Gabby is fighting a viral infection now and had to go to work with me today!

This looks like SO MUCH fun! Going to the CMA festivities would be my dream. I love country music too! Were Big and Rich there? They're my favorites! Gabby looks like she had fun too.
