What A Weekend!

This weekend was very busy! On Friday night, Gabby was supposed to go to Grandma and Grandad C's house while Jeff and I went out for dinner and a movie! Gabby decided to take a looong nap when we got home from work and daycare and by the time she took a bath and had a bottle it was 8pm. So, that idea did not work unfortunately. On Saturday, Gabby had her 6 month pictures taken with Kristi. I can't wait to get them back and post them...they are SUPER cute! All I will say about this is that Gabby is finally at an age where she enjoys making people laugh and will do anything to achieve this goal! On Sunday, Daddy was "gone fishin'"! You will now begin to hear this term often as fishing season has officially started! Uncle Nick came over to watch Gabby while Mommy took a shower! It was so funny to see him with her. He was so paranoid about her falling over while she was sitting that he put pillows around her(even though he was with her the entire time). Here is a picture of Uncle Nick, Gabby and "PILLOWS"! What a protective uncle!!

Then, Gabby and Mommy headed to the mall and did some "much needed" shopping for sleepers! Gabby has outgrown all of her 9-12 month sleepers in length and likes to pull her socks off in her sleep if we try the two piece pajamas! What an adventure the mall was! Gabby's new task is to attempt to slide out of her stroller when Mommy isn't looking. Of course, the one time I did not strap her in(I was trying to give her some freedom while we strolled)she about slid through the bottom of the stroller. Too bad a "snooty" woman had to notice it too. I was bent down trying to get Gabby's bottle out of the diaper bag and hear, "Oh My Goodness" and "Oh God" and jump up to see Gabby half way out of the stroller and giggling at the response she got from everyone while attempting to escape! I then, very quickly, strapped her into her stroller all while Gabby screamed her head off because she was mad at me for taking away her so called freedom! Ohhh...the things we learn as parents! I guess I just assumed that my child was an innocent little angel and was not at the age where she could slide out of her stroller yet....WRONG!

From here, we met Daddy at his favorite restaurant...PF Chang's! What a day...What a weekend! I think next weekend we will just stay close to home where Gabby can't get into much trouble...or so we think. We are just so in love with this little girl and so so thankful for her everyday!

Gabby - you little escape artist. You just blow rasberries at those snooty women at the mall :) Last time I took both girls to the mall we had a stroller incident too. I don't strap Lily in anymore b/c she's in and out of the stroller so much. So we stopped for a second (I actually got distracted by hair braid lady) and Lily JUMPED out, tripped, and landed right on her face. Blood, a fat lip, and MANY snooty looks later we were out of there. It was really bad :(

Gabby, you are such a doll and don't worry about those snooty women. Things happen!

I can't get over how much more hair Gabby has than Gabe! Poor Gabriel is like a little old man with his hair :)

Hi Katie! Gabby is a beautiful baby! I love reading your blog and seeing your family pictures too! I can't wait until Gracie is doing all the things Gabby is doing.

We must be very much alike - we have the same stroller and I just wrote on our blog that "we are so in love" with our little girl! Too funny! Maybe one day Taryn can introduce us!

Take care, Kelly
