Success!

Well, I am happy to report that we all made it through the ear tubes on Wednesday successfully! Other than being very hungry right before the procedure from not being allowed to eat after midnight, Gabby did wonderfully! We checked in right at 7:15am and after the zillion visits from nurses doing vitals, anesthesiologists prepping you for the worse and the doc going over what to expect...we were ready to roll at 8:17a. Gabby was back in our arms and drinking her huge bottle of apple juice by 9am. It is so funny because we thought that Gabby did not like apple juice because she would never drink it before this day! Either we were wrong or she was sooo hungry she settled for anything. I think the latter! We feel that Gabby was a pretty good patient when the doctor referred to her as "a cutie"! Thank you for everyone who said a special prayer for us on Wednesday. I was very suprised at how stress-free this procedure was compared to what Jeff and I have been used to in the past! As we were walking out of the hospital, I said to my mom that it felt so funny to be leaving the hospital the same day as the surgery! This is definately the way it is supposed to be! We know that Gabby's big sister was watching over her on this day!

By the looks of things....we believe that Gabby was feeling much better by the end of the night! Fun in the bathtub!

Wow...Gabbykat is going to dread that bathtub picture when she grows up :-P. I love the sitting up picture in the other post :-). I had to go pick up my license plate/pay mom and dad, on Friday and got to play with her...she's absolutly adorable, and it's amazing how much she has changed since I last saw her about 2 weeks ago. Can't wait to see you guys on Easter Sunday!

We can't wait to see you guys too!! Gabby's 1st Easter will be fun! She has already tried to tackle the bunnies on your mom's coffee table! We actually had to move them into another room to get them out of her reach!!
